Enhancing the ordering experience

Way back when, most of our orders were delivered via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we arrived at the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. Things are quite a bit different different now. These days, when orders are entered on the website, we get a mobile notification. We often log into our site from the field and send back an email confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

Report delivery

The majority of our appraisals are delivered through email as PDF documents. Generally our clients are most comfortable with receiving PDFs attached to their email. It's much more efficient than previously, before the days of email. But,we've even been able to enhance report delivery with this website.

Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had problems sending or receiving an email because it was too big? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too.  When we send an appraisal, the client receives a link via email to retrieve the PDF. By bypassing email completely we get around any problems caused by file size. Best of all, the file is hosted on our site for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back into our site and retrieve it without having to wait on us to send it again.

Tech-savvy data gathering

Gathering the data for an appraisal is an intensive process.. We spend much of our time obtaining the facts on the subject property, as well as the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help Piscitelli Appraisal Service.

We've learned that taking notes the standard way, using pencil and paper, generally takes longer since we have to enter everything back in at the office. Don't be surprised to see us with a tablet or collecting data using a program for our phone that allows us to sketch a floorplan right on site. And instead of using an outdated tape measure, more and more appraisers are adopting laser measuring devices that are quicker, more accurate, and can get into places that a normal tape measure can't.

We combine all of these different technologies to ensure the final report is complete and accurate, requiring fewer call-backs and revisions. Our goal is to save you time and money.

It would be much easier if appraisers could never have to think about an appraisal again after submitting it to the client. However, appraisals are used to show the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers must keep their reports for 5 years in case any disputes or other matters arise regarding the property.

Here again, Piscitelli Appraisal Service uses all the technology available to us to improve service. We store every part of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation, and calculations - along with an electronic copy of the appraisal, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall precisely what that job was about.
